Testing is now available to essential workers with symptoms and people who live with essential workers and have symptoms. Essential workers at Caramel Rock are those that are working directly with our service users including prison staff, social workers, teachers and other school staff. If you are unsure whether you are eligible, speak with your line manager. From today, staff who meet the criteria will be able to book a test directly at https://self-referral.test-for-coronavirus.service.gov.uk/. Testing is most effective within 3 days of symptoms developing. Essential workers will be able to select either a regional test site drive-through appointment or a home test kit.
Here’s a video explaining the process for drive-through testing: https://youtu.be/JVB6TC49ss
Staff are being advised to work from home where possible and a skeletal staff structure will be in place to deliver essential services.
