We’ll admit it; childhood was not our most fashion-conscious era. With outfits chosen mostly by our mums, let’s just say we were not the coolest kids on the playground. It’s funny how fashion changes over time because today, dusting off some of those same looks can make you the coolest person in the room.

According to this seasons fashion trends we can expect to see a heavy mix of the groovy’ 70s hipster styles and ‘90s. These trends are not looking to stop at our wardrobes. Beauty brands are launching 90s inspired lipstick shades which means the bold lip just got bolder.
While deep berry lips were a ’90s beauty staple, the trend can still be spotted on today’s looks. 90’s fashion trends have been making a comeback as of late. Belly shirts, dark lipstick and of course choker necklaces. Of course, the choker has been around since long before faux-tattoo necklaces were all the rage.
The choker necklace has roots spanning all over the world; its history stretches back generations before the 90’s. A surprisingly timeless trend, the leather jacket has staying power-likely because it can be worn in three seasons of the year, and adds instant edge to any ensemble.
The early leather motorcycle jackets, worn in the 1920’s and 1930’s with a short styling fitted waist. The floral skater dress never seems to go out of style. Recently, it’s made a strong comeback-namely in sunflower and daisy prints. Many styles that were popular in the 90s have been making a comeback in recent years. A few of these looks are crop tops, leather jackets, flannels, denim jackets and doc martins. Fashion throughout the 90s was always changing. The 80s had an influence on the style of the 90s, and the 90s fashion has appeared in styles today.
